Sauna Installation Terms & Conditions

These terms apply where delivery and installation are included with the purchase of a Recover sauna.

1. Standard Installation

“Installation Included” refers to the delivery, assembly, installation and commissioning of the Recover sauna and supplied equipment at a suitable, prepared installation location.

Standard installation includes:

  • Delivery to the agreed installation location
  • Assembly and positioning of the sauna
  • Installation of the supplied sauna heater and controls
  • Connection of supplied lighting and accessories
  • Electrical connection to a suitable existing electrical supply
  • Up to 10 metres of standard electrical cabling from a suitable existing electrical supply to the sauna, where a safe and practical cable route is available
  • Appropriate heat-resistant cabling within the sauna where required
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Operational handover

The 10-metre allowance is measured along the required installed cable route and not the straight-line distance between the sauna and electrical supply.

2. Electrical Installation

Recover supplies and installs sauna heaters from a range of manufacturers, typically from approximately 3.5 kW to 8 kW.

Electrical requirements vary depending on the heater manufacturer, model, output and individual sauna installation. The requirements of the specific heater supplied will determine the final electrical specification.

For the purposes of these terms, a “suitable existing electrical supply” means an electrical supply with sufficient capacity and appropriate infrastructure for the specific sauna heater being installed.

Standard electrical installation includes:

  • Installation and connection of the supplied heater and controls
  • Connection to a suitable existing electrical supply
  • Appropriate electrical cabling for the supplied heater
  • Up to 10 metres of standard cable routing
  • Appropriate heat-resistant cabling where required
  • Appropriate circuit protection associated with the sauna installation, where this can be accommodated within the existing electrical installation
  • Electrical testing and commissioning

The property must have sufficient existing electrical capacity for the heater specified.

Recover's standard installation does not include:

  • Increasing the property's available electrical capacity
  • Major distribution board upgrades or replacement
  • Major modification of the property's electrical infrastructure
  • Provision or upgrading of three-phase power
  • Underground electrical cabling or trenching
  • Rectification of existing electrical faults or unsuitable wiring

Where the existing electrical installation is not suitable for the specified heater, the required preparatory works must be completed by the customer or their appointed contractor before Recover can complete the sauna installation.

3. Indoor Sauna Installations

Standard indoor installation assumes:

  • The installation area is finished and ready for the sauna
  • The floor is level and structurally suitable
  • Sufficient space and access are available
  • A suitable existing electrical supply is available within the standard installation allowance

Flooring alterations, waterproofing, plumbing, drainage, wall modifications and other building works are not included.

4. Outdoor Sauna Installations

Standard outdoor installation assumes:

  • A suitable level and structurally sound finished base is already in place
  • Clear access is available for installation
  • A suitable existing electrical supply with sufficient capacity is available within 10 metres of the sauna
  • A safe and practical cable route is available between the electrical supply and sauna

Where the suitable electrical supply is more than 10 metres from the sauna location, the additional electrical requirements fall outside the standard installation scope.

Recover does not undertake underground electrical cabling or trenching.

Where power needs to be brought underground, across landscaped areas, over significant distances or requires additional electrical infrastructure, these works must be arranged and completed by the customer or their appointed contractor before sauna installation.

Ground preparation, foundations, concrete bases, landscaping, drainage and other site-preparation works are also excluded from standard installation.

5. Works Outside Standard Installation

Unless specifically stated within the customer's written quotation, standard installation does not include:

  • Electrical capacity or infrastructure upgrades
  • Major distribution board upgrades or replacement
  • Provision or upgrading of three-phase power
  • Underground electrical cabling or trenching
  • Cable runs exceeding 10 metres
  • Concealed cabling or wall chasing
  • Civil or structural works
  • Ground preparation, foundations or concrete bases
  • Landscaping
  • Waterproofing, plumbing or drainage
  • Making good, plastering, painting or tiling
  • Cranes, specialist lifting equipment or non-standard access
  • Building management, authority or third-party works or fees
  • Rectification of existing electrical faults

6. Non-Standard Installation

Where a site requires work outside Recover's standard installation scope, the required works may need to be completed by the customer or their appointed contractor before installation.

Where Recover agrees to undertake additional works that fall within our capabilities, these will be separately agreed and quoted before work proceeds.

Recover is not responsible for funding modifications or infrastructure required to make a property suitable for the sauna.

7. Site Readiness, Location & Approvals

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the installation location is ready and suitable before the agreed installation date.

The standard installation scope is based on the sauna location agreed with Recover. If the customer changes the installation location after confirmation, any resulting changes to electrical requirements, cable routing or installation work may fall outside the standard installation scope and result in additional costs.

The customer is responsible for obtaining any required landlord, community, building management or authority approvals unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing.

If installation cannot proceed because the site is not ready, suitable power is unavailable, access has not been arranged, required approvals have not been obtained or preparatory works have not been completed, installation may be rescheduled.

Additional attendance, delivery or remobilisation charges may apply where an additional visit is required.

8. Completion

Installation is considered complete once the sauna and supplied equipment have been:

  • Assembled and installed
  • Connected to the suitable existing electrical supply
  • Tested and commissioned
  • Confirmed operational

9. Meaning of “Installation Included”

“Installation Included” means installation and commissioning of the Recover sauna and supplied equipment at a suitable, prepared location.

It does not mean that Recover will undertake or fund electrical infrastructure upgrades, long-distance power provision, underground cabling, property modifications, civil works or other works required to prepare the site for the sauna.

Any work outside the standard installation scope is excluded unless specifically stated in writing within the customer's quotation.
